“Coastal Brake” is a great jam to kick off the weekend. The track has been floating around blogs for a while, but it’s featured on the new Tycho album coming out in November on Ghostly International. It’s a gorgeous, glimmering dream of a track that feels like the sun going down as you blast north on the PCH. Start up the weekend. Stay safe.

“Raconte-Moi Une Histoire” by M83 // Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming (2011)
It’s strange to be drawn to a song that is essentially a child telling a story about wanting to become a frog, but this track has oddly grown to be one of my favorites on the stellar new album, Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. Mostly it has everything to do with the backing music. The slow build into a synth orchestra that’s reminiscent of some of M83’s early work, but less cold detachment and more of a sweet warmth.
